Salvatore Italiano (the Husband) appeals the final judgment dissolving his marriage to Patricia Italiano (the Wife) and raises two issues. The Wife cross-appeals and raises three issues. We affirm the trial courts marital or non-marital classification of various payments the Husband received from his family businesses and the trial courts classification of the appreciation of those businesses during the marriage. We also affirm the trial courts decision concerning the alleged commingling of certain marital and non-marital funds. However, we reverse the award of nominal permanent alimony to the Wife and the distribution of certain marital debts and remand for further proceedings on these issues.
